Yesterday we looked at a cabina and an apartment - both were within a block of our family´s house, and in a nice complex. But, the apartment didn´t have a kitchen, and the cabina smelled pretty musty. We pretty much decided we couldn´t live there, but were curious what the rent would be. Well... They wanted $300/month - we said yikes!
We also looked at a cabina across the street from the school. It has 2 bedrooms, a living room, bathroom, front porch, and shares a kitchen with one other person. Rent is 65,000 colones, or approximately $130/month. We told the landlady today that we would like to rent it, and move in Sunday. It is awfully nice knowing where you are going to live for a while...
